White is the cleanest, crispest color there is. It’s fresh, versatile, and it never goes out of style. This summer, I have been on the hunt for white blouses that will rotate through my wardrobe. A white blouse can be great with jeans, skirts, tucked into high waisted trousers, under a jumpsuit… Let’s face it, the color white is that friend that gets along with everybody. Your mom, your best friend, the Starbucks barista, the grumpy man that changes my oil…. you get the point. 😉
I love getting inspired by what I wear, and the idea of doing an all white look had been on my mind for sometime. However, doing a monochromatic look can be tricky. You have to look at proportions, and you don’t want to drown in the uniformity of the color. So let’s talk outfit talk.
The pants were a leap a faith for me. I’m a thick-thighed girlfriend, and white can be unflattering (especially if I stuff myself in it, we’re talking sausage casing vibes). But when I put on these HM pants, they were a fricking dream. Just proved to me, yet again, that you don’t ever have to deny yourself of any type of style. You just have to find the one that will work for you!
The top was a surreal moment at Winners where I was scouring through the racks and I almost fainted when I saw this gem. I mean sewn on embroidered flowers?!?!? I’m still in disbelief. It was like finding a puppy in a giant pile of laundry. (I don’t know if that happens, but it should.)
