Socks and Polka Dots

If you’re seeing dots, don’t be alarmed. Everyone else is seeing them too. Polka dots have become one of the top trends for the summer. They’re fun, carefree and a great print to create an outfit that is interesting and effortless. This polka dot midi skirt was no exception.

I’ve had a change of heart in skirts recently. They have become a go-to for me. They really offer more diversity than a dress (by being able to switch the tops out), while still allowing me to keep a feminine feature in my look.

This was also my first ‘sock and heel’ and combo. I have to say, I had a lot of fun with it.

A) It kept me warm. Living in YEG you’re more often cold than not.

B) They create a sense of youthful, school girl prep, casualness. And I’m turning 30 so, maybe its a crisis. Ha.

Either way, I fell in love with this look and went all giggly, like a schoolgirl.
