I have never been a huge Valentine’s Day person. I think that everyday should be about love, showcasing those kind gestures/ thoughts throughout the year, versus one day.
But, life does get busy, time is precious, and sometimes we need a reminder. And that’s ok too.
So I decided to get in the spirit of all things love, and put together an outfit that oozed fun, flirty, and achievable. (Let’s face it, I’m still practical with what I wear, but there’s no denying that I love being able to express myself through my style.)
This little sweater was right up my alley! When Toronto-based label, Pink Martini, approached me to do a collaboration with them, I was so stoked! I own one of there skirts from a few years back and I still love it to this day. This sweater is no exception. It’s soft, warm, and the pearl accents make me feel feminine and confident. It’s that little extra, without me having to put on any jewelry. Talk about easy breezy!
Throwing it over a blush satin dress and managing to tuck the sweater with a belt, allowed for a more shaped silhouette because I am Woman! Hear me Roar!
So look at Valentine’s Day as a little reminder in the year to say,
‘Hey, it’s ok to stop and smell the roses. And to share those roses with that special someone or, even, yourself.’
And if you want to put on that pearly sweater for an all pink look? You do you, girl. I’ll be cheering from the sidelines.
